We’re delving into the Listener Questions pot for this week’s bonus podcast, starting with one from Kit, who wants to know whether there are any female villains from Corrie’s past who should have been turned into killers. We all know there’ve been far fewer lady baddies on the show than men, but how does that compare with real-life crime statistics, exactly how many Weatherfield femmes fatales have already taken someone’s life, and who else could have crossed that line? After that, we ponder Martin’s question about whether Corrie should ever recast a character when an actor decides to leave. It’s something UK soaps rarely do, yet across the pond it’s common practice - so why the difference? And can we think of any recent departures where we might actually have preferred a new head on the character rather than seeing them leave the cobbles for good? Elsewhere, Sarah stands up to Kacey, Shuttleworth’s takes on a new client with a rather unusual request, and Richie piles the pressure on Tim to lie to the police and save him from being sent down.

In The Kabin, we see who's made it to th NTA shortlist and reveal the latest Corrie merch at the tour shop, and we round off the show with more of your feedback, including a reaction to the new Studio 1 tour!

In our latest Resident Review, we take a look behind the doors of Number 1 Coronation Street, the home of the Barlows and the McDonalds. With Cassie having just left the Street for pastures unknown, we've been left with a bit of a turning point for the remaining residents - but what should Corrie do to try and leave the characters feeling fresh? To be honest, we're not too sure the characters of Steve, Tracy, Amy and Ken gel well together as a family group - despite enjoying all of the characters in their own way individually! - so it was fun to chat over what could potentially breathe a bit of new life into Number 1. Enjoy!

There's been a murder! And a suddenly existing relative is involved! This week, Corrie meshes together two ideas that they're really quite fond of recently, which ultimately results in Tim and Sally getting a new foster child to look after - the question is, is she being completely honest about the circumstances surrounding her mother's death? Meanwhile, Sarah splits with Kit in an attempt to protect his career, but he's not willing to let her go without a fight! Also this week, Idris plays dirty to get his hands on Speed Daal, the Bailey boys rally around Ronnie, and opportunity knocks for Nina.

It's been another very quiet week for news, so we give The Kabin a swerve again, but there's no shortage of feedback, with plenty of thoughts on the Dylan and Betsy story to share!

For this week’s bonus podcast, we take a look back on Cassie Plummer’s three years on the cobbles, chronicling her dalliances with drugs, family fall-outs and snuggles and snogs with Steve McDonald. We ponder whether Corrie did the right thing rewriting Tyrone’s family history to bring the Plummers into the show, and consider whether leaving Cassie’s fate shrouded in mystery was the right way to bring her time on the cobbles to a close. Love Cassie or loathe her, it’s impossible to deny the charisma Claire Sweeney brought to the role, and we had a lot of fun revisiting some of her most memorable moments in this discussion. Enjoy!
