Dirty Mo Media may have started with a Dale Earnhardt Jr. podcast, but DMM President Mike Davis never believed it would stop with one driver, one podcast, or even one sport. Today, he is leading DMM through its next phase of growth while trying to protect the honesty and audience trust that helped build the company in the first place.

In Part 2 of Business of Motorsports, Kelley Earnhardt Miller sits down with DMM President Mike Davis to talk about what the company has actually become: a motorsports media network telling stories from every corner of the sport, and now pushing into new ones too.

Mike gets into how DMM decides which shows are worth betting on, why some ideas need years to find their audience, and why he's comfortable having a few misses to find the next big hit. He also tells the story of how a trip into the rodeo world turned into a friendship with Jerome and Tiffany Davis, the launch of Dirty Mo Rodeo, and a bigger vision for where DMM can go outside of racing.

Growth hasn't come without tension. Mike talks candidly about navigating DMM's relationship with NASCAR, the balancing act of staying independent while still being part of the sport, and why DMM has walked away from business rather than tell its hosts what they can and can't say.

After NASCAR’s first points race at North Wilkesboro since 1996, Dale, TJ and Travis are back in studio to break down all of the weekend’s headlines – including some Joey Logano domination.

After word that NASCAR will be extending practice time for the Cup Series, Dale explains just how crucial it is for drivers like Connor Zilisch to utilize that track time and get laps to help dial in their season. Dale also talks about why North Wilkesboro hasn’t been all about the racing for him, including what he confessed to Marty Smith before going on air with TNT.

Everything bad happens when Dale Jr. isn’t home… at least that’s what Amy is starting to believe. On this episode of Bless Your Heart, Dale and Amy are back at the beach house talking about the latest adventure that went wrong while Dale was away at the race. After a massive storm rolled through, Amy, Karsyn, and the girls found themselves stranded with a dead golf cart and had to push their way home. That leads to Dale building his case that Amy might be the reason his vehicles keep breaking down, including the story of what happened when she took his restored S-10 truck for a drive.

The conversation doesn’t stop there. Dale reveals the one very specific song he wants played at his funeral, Amy shares her thoughts on his growing trading card obsession, and the two debate whether hobbies are ever really “too much.” Then they switch over to Ask Amy, where they answer fan questions about Freddie’s chair, pickle wine, favorite childhood memories at their grandparents’ houses, and the ultimate breakfast debate: pancakes, waffles, or French toast. Mike Davis didn't set out to run a media company – he set out to help tell Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s story. Today, he's President of Dirty Mo Media, leading a company that's grown from a single podcast into a full network of shows, live events, and branded content across NASCAR, motorsports and new verticals outside of the racing world.

In Part 1, Kelley Earnhardt Miller takes Mike back to the beginning: becoming Dale Jr.'s publicist during the Budweiser years, helping navigate the historic departure from DEI, and launching the original Dale Jr. Download with no business plan – just an instinct that NASCAR fans wanted more Dale Jr. content.

That instinct turned into Dirty Mo Media. As the company grew beyond one show, Mike made the call to move from behind the mic as co-host of the Download to behind the scenes – becoming President and eventually an equity partner, focused on building the infrastructure, team, and strategy behind DMM's expansion.

This is the story of how one NASCAR podcast became a media company, and the partnership that made it possible.
