The rapid spread of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo has created a "deeply alarming" situation, the medical charity Médecins Sans Frontières has warned. US president Donald Trump announced that he was meeting with close advisers in the White House situation room to make a ‘final determination’ on whether to extend a ceasefire agreement with Iran. Iran’s foreign minister said Tehran had not yet reached a decision on a deal.

Nato and the EU condemn Russia after a drone crashed into a Romanian apartment block, injuring two people. Speaking on Newshour, Romania’s foreign minister, Oana Toia, said the incident was a provocation by Russia.
