Barbara is not perfectly managing. Barbara is marvellous at beginnings. She is even extraordinary in the middle. It's just the endings that keep giving her the slip.

Gate 51 is “The Gate of Shock”.The character for Gate 51 is Derek. The first thing you notice about Derek is that he is always slightly ahead. Not rudely, not intentionally even or not entirely intentionally. It is simply that Derek’s body seems to have made a unilateral decision about pace, that the rest of the world had not been consulted on.
