Haunted Canada: Ghost stories and the unexplained

Perched along the windswept coast of Northern Ireland, Ballygally Castle is a place steeped in centuries of history. In this episode of Haunted Canada, Nadine Bailey steps inside the legendary Ghost Room to uncover the tragic story of Lady Isabella Shaw, whose spirit is said to roam the castle to this day.

Behind the black basalt walls of Crumlin Road Gaol in Belfast, Northern Ireland, 150 years of history refuses to stay buried.

Once the county gaol for Antrim, "the Crum" as it was known is Northern Ireland's only remaining Victorian-era prison. It operated from 1845 until its closure in 1996. It imprisoned thousands, including suffragettes, murderers, and political rebels, and now functions as a popular museum and visitor attraction.
