  • "Pledged & Pulled Back." Why Lecrae Joined a Fraternity, Why He Left, and What Faith Taught Him
If my son or daughter came to me and said, “Dad, I’m thinking about joining a fraternity or sorority,” I’d probably say no, but not for the reasons you think. In this episode, I share my own story of pledging Kappa Alpha Psi, why I joined, why I left, and how my perspective has changed over the years. I’ve seen people go back and forth for decades about whether Christians should denounce Black Greek life. Some call it idolatry; others call it community. I’ve lived both sides of it.We talk about the real history behind these organizations, why fear often drives the conversation, and what the Bible actually says about things like oaths, culture, and conscience. This isn’t about picking sides, it’s about being consistent and letting your faith lead your decisions instead of fear.Whether you’ve pledged, denounced, or just don’t get the hype, I think this will give you something to think about.Let’s go to the Deep End!---------------------📱Follow our new instagram! - https://www.instagram.com/deependlecrae/?locale=en_US%2Cen_US📱Connect with Lecrae - https://linktr.ee/Lecrae📮 Join the conversation… Exclusive previews, discounts, bonus content, and more: https://deependwithlecrae.com/Listen to "Heaven Sent” our now on all platforms: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdUIUlPaG9k👕 Shop Lecrae Merch: https://lecrae.store/ To watch my show early each week, download the B-side app for free!📱 B-side for iPhone https://apps.apple.com/us/app/b-side-app/id6469474522📱B-side for Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bsideapp&hl=en_US&pli=1See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
