Greg Minnaar and Norco’s Engineers on the New Team DH

    29/09/2026 | 1h 7min
The new Norco Team DH is finally here. After some laps on the new bike in Val di Sole, I sat down with Greg Minnaar and the engineers behind it, Colin Ryan and Kirk McDowall, to get the full story behind the new bike. A six-link suspension platform built for total independent tunability, developed through secret test sessions and years of racing feedback. We get into how Greg ended up signing after a covert test in Spain, how the team solved early stiffness issues, and why Greg reckons the level of adjustability on this bike makes it feel like a privateer’s dream. So sit back, hit play and listen to this episode with Greg Minnaar, Colin Ryan and Kirk McDowall.

You can find everything you need to know about the new Norco Team DH here, watch their launch video here and follow the team @norcoadidasracedivision.

    Whistler 2026 – Post-Race Show

    28/09/2026 | 1h 15min
I’m Chris Hall, this is the Downtime Podcast, and you’re tuned into your Whistler post-race show with Olly Morris and Chris Kilmurray.

It’s nearly the end of the season, which means I’ll have invoices to pay from our awesome experts, Neko, Olly and Chris, for the time they’ve given us all over the year. This World Cup coverage doesn’t have any brand backing, so it’s your Patreon support that helps me pay those invoices and to keep this coverage coming your way all season long. There’s still time to help out by signing up from as little as £3 a month over at patreon.com/downtimepodcast.

To say thank you, we’ve got race jerseys from Tahnée Seagrave, Danny Hart, Andy Kolb, Anna Newkirk, Gracey Hemstreet and Martin Maes to give away to lucky Patreon supporters once the season ends, so get signed up now.

Whistler delivered and we saw some of the biggest time gaps all season long. With a three day drive to deal with, Neko hit the road (or possibly the bar), so Chris Kilmurray joins me and Olly to delve into the details of what went on. With the challenging travel schedule for all involved this week, we decided to hit the Lake Placid pre-race chat at the same time. So sit back, hit play and listen to this Whistler post-race show and Lake Placid pre-race show combined with Olly Morris and Chris Kilmurray.

Loïc Bruni On Injury, Comeback, Rivalries and More

    22/09/2026
Loïc Bruni is back on Downtime. It’s been seven years since we last sat down with Loïc, and a lot has changed in that time.

He’s won World Championships, World Cups, battled some of the best riders the sport has ever produced, and continued to establish himself as one of the defining riders of the sport’s history.

But this year has been a really difficult one.

Loïc had a complicated crash in Loudenvielle, which caused a serious wrist injury and multiple surgeries, and at the time of recording he’s still trying to get back on the bike. But as you’ll hear, he’s not done yet.

We talk about the injury and the frustration of being forced to watch from the sidelines, but also about his rivalry with Jackson Goldstone, the younger generation coming through and what will ultimately make him decide that it’s time to stop.

We also get into how downhill racing has changed, why Loïc thinks the tracks are getting too easy, the influence of Nico Vouilloz on the Specialized Gravity team, his changing approach to training, and what he thinks needs to happen for downhill to become a bigger sport.

And there’s a really honest insight into where Loïc is mentally right now. Still desperate to win, but increasingly aware that there aren’t an infinite number of seasons left to do it. So sit back, hit play and listen to this episode with Loïc Bruni.

You can also watch this episode on YouTube here.

You can follow Loïc on Instagram @loicbruni29 and on his YouTube channel here.

Henri Kiefer: Getting to the Top Is Never Simple

    15/09/2026 | 1h 31min
Henri Kiefer has already shown that he has the speed to race at the sharp end, finishing second at the 2025 Elite World Championships and standing on multiple Elite World Cup podiums, but getting there consistently has been a very different challenge.

In this conversation, Henri talks openly about confidence, expectation and the pressure he’s put on himself, and how learning to manage that has changed the way he approaches racing.

We also get into his journey from riding bikes with his Dad, through the Rookies Cup and Canyon Pirelli, to the Canyon factory team, as well as his approach to preparation, track walk, GoPro analysis and much more.

There’s plenty about the highs and lows along the way too, including broken wrists, difficult seasons, and the lessons he’s taken from the races where things haven’t gone to plan… remember that umbrella moment in Loudenvielle? So sit back, hit play and listen to this episode with Henri Kiefer.

You can also watch this episode on YouTube here.

You can follow Henri on Instagram @henri_kiefer and on YouTube here.
