Nottingham Forest beat Burnley 4-1 in a game they realistically had to win to avoid their Premier League future being back on a knife edge. Victory put them five points clear of Tottenham after their draw with Brighton, but it was a tense day for Forest fans after an awful first half where they trailed 1-0 and lost Murillo to injury. Morgan Gibbs-White was the second half hero though as he scored three times in the second half before Igor Jesus got a fourth goal.

Nottingham Forest have come along way in the last few years as they secured a place in the Europa League semi-finals after beating FC Porto 2-1 on aggregate. Aston Villa await but Forest remain entrenched in the Premier League relegation battle with a huge game against Burney at the City Ground to come on Sunday.

Nottingham Forest beat FC Porto 1-0 in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals at the City Ground to go through 2-1 on aggregate. Victory for Forest secured a second a European semi-final spot for the first time since 1984 but it came at a huge price potentially after Forest lost Chris Wood, Murillo and Callum Hudson-Odoi to injury. Forest were also without Elliot Anderson after the sad death of his mother Helen.

Wood was injured in a tackle which saw Jan Bednarek sent-off before Morgan Gibbs-White got the only goal on the night.
