April Fool's Chaos, Hangover Hacks & Fake Sick Days

    01/04/2026 | 49min
This week on Bottoms Up! it’s April Fool’s Day… so what do Alan and Lee have planned for each other?

The boys swap stories about their best (and worst) excuses when calling in sick to work - and share their top tips for pulling off a convincing sicky. Plus, who ended up in a coma after an all-you-can-eat buffet?!

They put PrePear to the test to see if it really cures a hangover - washing it down with a questionable mix of tequila and wine, and a proper classic margarita courtesy of Lee.

Lee’s worried he’s put on weight (Alan is not helping), and after a brutal leg day, the lads talk fitness before things take a turn when Alan reveals his dog Rita has been making art with fireplace coals.

Plus, this week’s dilemma: Madison from Manchester needs an affordable wine to impress her older friends - and the boys also share their tips on bringing bottles back from abroad.

    -Tequila, Lime & Soda

    - Classic Margarita (Tequila, Triple Sec & Lime)

Alan Carr Visits Chip Alley, Complains About Easter Eggs and Lee’s Wine Tasting Disaster

    25/03/2026 | 49min
This week on Bottoms Up! Lee gets invited to a wine tasting… with absolutely no idea what he’s doing. Confronted with a spittoon for the first time, he’s faced with the ultimate dilemma: spit or swallow?

The boys sample Welsh wine from The Dell Vineyard and debate the correct way to tackle Cardiff’s legendary Chip Alley - mayo, cheese, curry sauce, or gravy? Plus, Lee recounts the time he nearly caused a scandal in a Welsh country pub… just for asking for a slice of orange in his G&T.

Meanwhile, Alan’s been forced into a digital detox after losing his phone, Lee’s gearing up for Easter, and Alan has some strong opinions about the state of chocolate eggs these days.

There’s also a brand-new segment, where the boys discover which wine pairs perfectly with Disco Scallops from The Broadcaster.

And joining them this week is The Affordable Wine Hunter (@affordablewinehunter), sharing his top supermarket hacks for the Easter Bank Holiday - including the secret of “Neighbours of the Famous”: bottles made just outside world renowned regions that deliver the same quality for a fraction of the price.

    Drinks featured:

    * Y Lleidr (“The Thief”) – The Dell Vineyard

    * Ooh La La Sauvignon Blanc – The Broadcaster

    * Le Bijou Rosé de Sophie Valrose – Waitrose

    18/03/2026 | 49min

The pair weigh in on Timothée Chalamet’s recent opera comments, and Alan shares the time he took his mum to the opera - only for her to spend the night accosting Rod Stewart.

Wine expert Tom Gilbey is back with bottles in hand to chat about his new tour, Tom Gilbey: Absolute Filth, kicking off this September. Tickets and tour dates at tomgilbey.com

Plus, this week’s dilemma: what’s the perfect wine to throw at your enemy - while still looking fabulous?
