Metroid Prime Hunters turns twenty tomorrow on March 20th, 2026! That's a crazy sentance to type out, but it's true! In fact, there's lots of Metroid anniversaries coming up this year, but it all starts here with Hunters! To kick off the celebration on this episode, we're doing a thorough retrospective on the vast history of Metroid Prime Hunters with help from special guest Pete "SPIRE_FAN" Grigsby, arguably the biggest Metroid Prime Hunters fan in the Alimbic Cluster! We discuss everything from the reveal of the title at Nintendo's E3 2004 press conference, the First Hunt demo packed in with launch window Nintendo DS units, and of course the full game along with the impacts its made for both ourselves and gaming as a whole. This a big one, you won't want to miss it!

The boys are back in town! After a couple of weeks away from the podcast, Doominal Crossing rejoins Andy Spiteri for their first episode away from Metroid Prime 4 in over three months.  The gang turns their attention to what will likely be the next new Metroid title we focus on: Metroid 6! Andy and Doom go into granular detail on their hopes and dreams for MercurySteam's next outting, including the role of Samus's Metroid powers, story ideas, new gameplay mechanics, level design, side quests, the game's scope, and more! It will be interesting to come back to this episode in the future after we play it and see what comes to fruition!

Alien In Review is back to go over the last (for now) movie in the Alien saga left to cover: Ridley Scott's 2017 sequel to Prometheus, Alien: Covenant. We're focusing in on the SFX catching up to the intent of the Xenomorph and how it makes for the best version of the monster yet, how this sequel better balances the horror of Alien with the philosophy of Prometheus, if some of the decisions the characters make in the story are irrational, and analyze Michael Fassbender's captivating performance as both Walter, the new and improved Android model, and David, the complex synthetic from the first movies who's desire to create life at any costs birthed the Xenomorphs as we know them.

Andy and Doom had major technical issues this week and weren't able to get together for a redo, so as a make good, we are unlocking a special Patreon episode! Placing Samus on a freighter leaking (you guessed it) OIL, players will have to navigate this open world while trying to stay alive against the games brutal difficulty.
