- Lady! If you’ve noticed by now the unofficial theme for this year is community. How to build it, how to engage with it, and how to be responsible with it. As we continue to expand our understanding of what it means to be in community with others, we have to keep our most vulnerable in mind. That’s right, how are we helping the babies and the young people navigate the world?
This week, Dr. Dom and Terri offer a quick glimpse into ways we can help protect children’s peace. Are you being mindful of your conduct when in the presence of children? Studies show that kids are their most observant and absorbent of behavior and energy up to the age of 8 and it is our responsibility as community members to model what it is like to engage in ways that show self-respect and respect for others. Even if they aren’t your babies, they are somebody’s baby and they deserve an opportunity to have their innocence preserved and experience as peaceful a world as possible.
Tune in for a few tips on how to walk in the world knowing that you there are literally people who look up to you and take their cues from how you move in the world.

20/08/2026 | 36minWe all know what it feels like when someone violates our boundaries but how do we know when we are the boundary violator? Have you ever... offered unsolicited advice? Gossiped? Said what you would do if you were in someone’s situation? Asked personal questions? Interrupted someone in the middle of a conversation? Touched someone’s hair? Touched someone on the shoulder? Asked a coworker where they lived? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you, like most of us, have been a boundary violator.
In today’s throwback episode, Terri and Dom take us through multiple situations (including current events from pop culture and a subscriber question) in which we may be unintentionally invading someone’s personal space and offer us tips on how to navigate those situations.

See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.- Hey lady! When you see someone you perceive as having great confidence do you seethe with envy or do you admire them and wonder how you can get some of your own motion? This week, Terri and Dr. Dom break down why Black women who exude confidence and self-assuredness get so much hate thrown their way.
In today’s popular culture it seems as if you step out into the public eye with high self-regard and good self-concept chances are you are going to catch your fair share of haters. Should you let that stop you? No. But, as a human is it possible to sting when it happens? Sure, which is why Terri and Dr. Dom impart some wisdom about how to still do your thing without worrying about what others think and have to say. Hint: Because 9 times out of 10 whatever is making them uncomfortable is a them thing, so keep doing you, boo!
