The Art of Connection: Questions That Bring You Closer (Play Along)

    24/04/2026 | 48min
Hey lady! You might have noticed that building and maintaining community is a big theme for many of us right now. Many of us are moving past the superficial energy of posting your highlight reel for empty calorie validation from strangers and seeking real nourishment for the soul. But, how do you find that in a world where connection is based off swipes and quick judgments?
You already know Dr. Dom and Terri got you! This week, the dynamic duo guide you through questions you can ask your chosen family so that you can deepen your bond and get to know each other better in healthy, meaningful ways. Real relationships take work and while building intimacy can happen through common interests and shared activities, the best way to get to know someone is still through good conversation.
Do you feel a little rusty? Tuck this episode away as your handy prompt repository for questions that will bring you closer. We want to hear from you! Holler at us on Instagram. What question did you find most interesting? Did you ask yourself any?
If you’re looking to build your community, online and in-person, join us in Patreon. Not only do we have a warm community of like-hearted women but we plan live events for us to gather and show love. You never know, your new best may be behind the Patreon wall. See you there!

You’ve Evolved…But Are Your Beliefs Keeping Up?

    17/04/2026 | 49min
Hey lady! There comes a time when, hopefully, you wake up and say to yourself, I just don’t feel that way anymore. It can be at once both liberating and confusing. How can a belief or feeling you once held so deeply now seem like an ill-fitting sweater? Just like that sweater, now snug, uncomfortable, and no longer a match for who you are today, long-held beliefs can be difficult to shake but once you make the commitment to your growth, you’ll gain a new level of self-respect. One that you can carry as your superpower – the power to change your mind, especially when new information is presented.
This week, Terri and Dr. Dom, explore the ways they’ve examined their beliefs and challenged them. Some they kept but many they discarded without fanfare, just a simple, I’ve changed my mind. A woman has the right to change her mind, doesn’t she?
What beliefs do you still hold that are no longer serving you? Where could you use more compassion and less judgment in your life? And, where do you find yourself noticing that a particular belief is actually a projection?
Lady, there’s nothing wrong with keeping it real with yourself. In fact, it’s highly encouraged as you build a real and authentic life.
Speaking of keeping it real, head over to the enhanced Patreon community where Dr. Dom and Terri keep it all the way real about the behind the scenes of the making of the podcast. This community of like-hearted women gather and connect while letting their hair down. Ask Dr. Dom and Terri anything there…including Dr. Dom about her red beans and rice recipe. Inside joke for our Patreon subscribers. See you there!

Not Every Plastic Surgeon Is Gonna Tell You This: Dr. Myla Bennett on Body Image | TBT

    16/04/2026 | 37min
Today is a throwback episode with Dr. Myla Bennett who gives us the reality of working with women of color in plastic surgery. Dr. Myla Bennett is a board-certified plastic surgeon in Georgia. She is not your typical plastic surgeon. Dr. Myla is “pro doing things to make you feel good but anti ignoring what is going on inside that is affecting what you want to do on the outside.” Your mental health is an important factor in your decision to have plastic surgery. Dr. Myla shares with us the “dark and dangerous” side of plastic surgery, the surgeries people regret and the impact it has on the individual and their romantic relationships. What are the red flags you need to avoid in a plastic surgeon? What do you need to consider in your life before having surgery? Listen in to Dr. Myla’s answers to those questions and more.
Quote of the Day: "Anytime an opportunity comes along and it violates unleashing a woman's inner and outer beauty, I'm not going to do it." - Dr. Myla Bennett
