Camp Half-Pod: A Percy Jackson Podcast

We're back!!!! Finally, we tackle Court of the Dead, the sequel to The Sun and the Star. We have a lot of questions. First of all, who gave Mr. D a license to practice therapy??? Also, why is he suddenly nice? The premise of this book is juicy and hilarious, and we get to meet this new version of the Minotaur, or should we say, Asterion. Erin doesn't find him as hot now that he's a good guy. We don't need to talk about what that says about her. Manasa gives us a lesson on Cacodemons, which are, naturally, much weirder in Greek mythology than Rick leads on.

SEASON 2 FINALE!!!!! (screaming, crying, throwing up). This week, we're discussing Disney+'s Percy Jackson and the Olympians Episode 8 of Season 2, "The Fleece Works Its Magic Too Well." We discuss the art of adaptation and adjusting themes to be relevant to current times. What do we do when our leaders aren't standing up for us? We protect our own, that's what. There are lots of changes in this one, and we're on board with them. Manasa's question about the fleece is answered. We both sing Sally Jackson's praises. Erin compares Luke to Zeus. We love how this ended, and can't believe we have to wait for season 3 now!

It's time to invade a cruise ship, everyone. This week, we're discussing Disney+'s Percy Jackson and the Olympians Episode 7 of Season 2, "I Go Down With The Ship." Let it be known we're not entirely sure what ship is being referred to here. This episode deviates from the book the most, and we go deep into our thoughts on each change. Some? We like. Some? We're holding our breath. Manasa asks questions nobody else has about the fleece and skincare. We both crash out about Luke and continue convincing ourselves that we hate him.
